Additionally, water hookups are available, and electric hookups are coming soon. This RV paradise is close to Kitchi Tipiki Spring, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, and Fayette State Park. Pets are welcome but dogs must be leashed and cleaned up after. 

  1. AJ’s Berry Farm

This U-pick berry farm is a fantastic place to spend a night or two in Michigan. The berry farm uses environmentally friendly practices and sustainable farming methods to produce the highest-quality fruits and vegetables that customers can sample in the fields. In autumn, the farm offers a variety of family-friendly activities including hayrides, a corn maze, and a pumpkin launching show.

Located in the center of Michigan’s Thumb region, Ricker’s Roost is only 15 minutes away from Lake Huron and Saginaw Bay. This spot offers electric hookups and is pet-friendly. It’s only four miles north of Bad Axe, MI offering a Walmart and several restaurants. You may also see deer, wild turkey, foxes, and bald eagles while on-site. The area is in a farming community and features views of crop fields. Nearby Port Austin hosts a farmer’s market on Saturdays through mid-October.

This Harvest Hosts extraordinaire boondocking site is located on one acre of grass and woods by a pond. Guests have access to the Van Buren paved trail on the west side of the property. Additionally, Van Buren State Park is only three miles north, and the South Haven Pier is three miles south. During summer, be sure to visit South Haven, as it is a huge tourist destination with easy access to beaches.

North Pier Brewing Company, located in Benton Harbor, MI features a taproom and outdoor beer garden. The brewery is less than two miles from Lake Michigan and offers a great place to relax. North Pier Brewing Company has a rotating selection of beers on tap and a wide range of craft cocktails and slushies. Pets are allowed at this Harvest Hosts property, and sites accommodate up to 45-foot rigs.

Twin Maple Orchards is located in Galien, Michigan, and accommodates rigs over 45 feet. Pets are allowed but must be leashed when outside the RV and are welcome in outdoor areas. This southwest Michigan gem features apple, plum, and cherry orchards just seven miles from Lake Michigan. In fall (August-October), there are also pumpkins, gourds, squash, straw, mums, and fall decor in the Farm Market Store.

Huron Canal in Au Gres, Michigan is ideal for those looking for outdoor adventure. Located near Saginaw Bay, this RV site offers a front yard to barbeque in and sit outside. There are open fields on one side of the property and across the street is a wetland area. Guests are welcome to hang out in the backyard overlooking the canal. The Rifle River is nearby and perfect for tubing, kayaking, or canoeing. There’s also a public boat launch for Lake Huran and a county beach to explore.
